An Evening with Antonio Carluccio, 4th December 2012
Cookery Author, TV Personality and restaurateur, Antonio Carluccio is joining us for one exclusive evening to celebrate his 50 year long career and publication of his two new books; A Recipe For Life and Antonio Carluccio; The Collection.
Loved for his passion of no-fuss Italian cooking, Amalfi Coast born Carluccio’s love of food was triggered when he found himself missing his mother’s Italian home cooking whilst away in Vienna. Carluccio made his move to London as an Italian Wine Merchant where his experience and love of Italian food led him to open his first restaurant. The success of Carluccio’s restaurants spread worldwide and he now has over sixty restaurants, including Dubai and the local Norwich restaurant which opened in 2011.
Carluccio is the author of a number of highly acclaimed Italian cookery books, including his new book; The Collection which is a compilation of over 300 of his best recipes. Carluccio’s second new publication; A Recipe For Life is the story of his fascinating journey which led him to become one of the most successful Italian cooks of our time. The book encompasses a selection of recipes that were significant at each stage of his life and discusses how he has managed to stay true to his roots with his main inspirations in life being that of food and women!
As well as being a successful author and restaurateur, Carluccio is also a hugely popular TV personality, appearing amongst many, on his own show ‘Antonio Carluccio’s Italian Feasts’ and most recently, ‘Two Greedy Italians’, in which he was filmed around his travels of Italy.
